Tasty and healthy post-sauna drink recipes to try

Staying hydrated after sweating it out in the sauna is important. Try these pretty and healthy drink recipes inspired by Finnish nature to offer guests or just for yourself to enjoy. Berries contain lots of vitamins, antioxidants and fiber that aid recovery, improve metabolism and boost your immune system. A touch of salt  contains electrolytes that will help your body keep more water in your system and prevent and fix dehydration.

Sauna Spirit

  • blueberries
  • water
  • honey
  • birchleaves
  • pinch of salt

Fire Chamber

  • sparkling water
  • wild strawberries
  • birchleaves
  • pinch of fresh chili


  • honey
  • lime
  • birch sap juice
  • sparkling water
  • crushed ice
  • mintleaves
  • pinch of salt

Crush the mintleaves, honey and slices of lime into a glass or a jar. Add some birchsap juice. Fill the glass with crushed ice. Fill the glass or jar to the brim with sparkling water. Serve with a spoon or environmentally friendly paper straws or a spoon.

Decorating tip: add non-toxic flowers or birchleaves in water and freeze them in an ice tray. The pretty ice cubes add color to a simple glass of water if you’re in a rush or prefer unflavored water.
